Natural makeup

picture by Jennifer Chen (MAC Pro NY)

Ok, so maybe you're just starting to experiment with makeup....which is kinda my case. The trick is to start natural, then grow and try different colors and shades. But today, I'm going to give out the natural look.

what you'll need:

-tinted moisturizer

-makeup sponges

-translucent powder

-concealer

-eyeshadow

-cream blush

-tweezers (if needed)

Steps:

1.Blend in your tinted moisturizer with the makeup sponge over the bridge of your noce and your cheeks, but let your natural beauty marks like freckles show through.

2.If you have sposts of discoloration or unevenness, put on some concealer, but make sure to blend it in.

3.Set with transulcent powder.

4.Pluck any stray eyebrows hairs if necessary.

5.Eyeshadow:

brown or hazel eyes = beige or rosy pink

blue or green eyes = champagne or pale lavender

Use that same eyeshadow as eyeliner by smudging it on the higher and lower lash line.

6.Blend in some pink cream blush onto the apples of your cheeks.

7.Use some brown mascara. A few tin coats should do the trick.

8. Put on some lip stain for perfect lips.

And voilà! Enjoy!!

First thing to consider.....

We all have a person in our head that we secretely want to be like. Or maybe even an invented characted. Or a different version of yourself, you wish you could be. Not necessarily physically, but also psychologically.

Create your dream "you". Regardless of what anyone else thinks, how wierd it would be, create! Let you imagination flow. This ideal person you imagine could be the entire opposite of yourself, but that doesn't matter.

If you can, or want to (but I strongly suggest it), write down all the likes, dislikes and corky personnality traits you gave to your character. That could be very helpful.

Once that is done, take a look at what you have written down. You might see a pattern emerging. Does your character have crazy dyed hair and always wear two different colored shoes? Maybe that's because you wish you could do that without feeling like everyone's watching you! When you are concious of how you want to be, things will go much easier.

So that's the first lesson, take it on for this week, and next week will bring something new!

Ok, so pardon my fast paced little intro I made yesterday night, when it was clearly time for me to go to bed, let's introduce my philosophy for real. Oh yeah, and thanks again Mikhail Mendelevitch!!

So, you ask, what IS the Ellee-ology (I know, corny name) philosophy? Well, it all starts when you are ready to take a life-changing (hopefully) experience. First, you dig deep into yourself to find all sorts of treasures and gold, then, you spread it out to the whole world, conquer, and regenerate our trouble society.

Sounds good doesn't it? Yes, we are on the same page! So take that colorful bike! Come on, there's a lot of fun to be had!
